Lavellda F. Davis

Lavellda F. Davis, 80, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at her home. She was born on May 27, 1942, in Athens, Tennessee to the late Hird Andrew and Ella Mae Bivens. Lavellda was of the Baptist faith and was a dedicated member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, renovations of old houses, and spending time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, David Stanley Davis; her brothers, Dennis Bivens, Troy Bivens, Warren Bivens, and Hird “Hubby” Bivens; sister, Jacquillon Hamilton; and her brother-in-law, Billy Hamilton.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, David Anthony (Rebecca) Davis, Christopher Rodney (Lisa) Davis, and Rhonda Kay Norman; sisters in law, Loretta Bivens, Judy Bivens, and Freda Bivens; her grandchildren, Shane (Linda) Patterson, Jody (Angie) Patterson, Ryan (Ashley) Davis, Tyler (Whitney) Davis, Loni (Brady) Harris, Alexis (Darian) Sams, Katrina (Jeremy) Landers, and Kayla (Hayes Hooper) Sewell; great grandchildren, Gracie (Wesley) DeVaney, Tynslee Patterson, Blakely Patterson, Jonah Alam, Emilia Davis, Tug Harris, Bug Harris, Carlie Landers, and Chloe Landers; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Reverend Matt Decker officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the service. A Graveside service will be held at GoodSprings Baptist Church Cemetery in Etowah, Tennessee following the chapel service.
