Obituary

Laura B. Couch, 85, a lifelong resident of McDonald, TN passed away on Friday night, September 26th, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Laura was born on August 10th, 1929 a daughter of the late Luther and Anna Cooper. She was of the Baptist faith. Laura was retired from Hickory Springs Manufacturing. She loved gardening, fishing, flower gardens, cooking, crafts, enjoyed her family and the simple pleasures of life.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Earl Couch, two sons Wesley Couch and Wendell Couch and one brother J. D. Matheny.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Wayman Couch, one daughter-in-law Carolyn Couch, four grandchildren Ashleigh Couch, Heather Million(Jeremiah), Megan Ellison(Brad) and Ethan Couch, four great grandchildren Preslee Million, Sky Ellison, Emery Couch and Hartley Million, one brother Willis Cooper(Faye), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday night, September 29th, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday afternoon September 30th, 2014 at 4:00 PM at the Corinth Baptist Church located 216 Corinth Church Road in McDonald, TN with the Reverend Gary Thacker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Johnson, Darrell Cooper, Cecil Withrow, Adam Withrow, Ethan Couch, and Ronnie Hefner serving as pallbearers.

The family request that in lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund in Laura’s memory.
