Larry Stephen Blackwell

Larry Stephen Blackwell, 65, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away August 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 27, 1955 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia to Carl and Flora Blackwell. Larry proudly served his country on the USS John Adams SSBN-620 and was a proud leader of the Boy Scouts. Larry retired from Shaw Industries after 35 years of service. He was a man of many talents and skills and enjoyed hobby gunsmithing, reloading ammunition, camping, hiking, and he especially loved to read.

Larry is survived by: his loving wife of 45 years, Brenda, his children Andrew Blackwell and Audrey (Matthew ) Blackwell Eady, his siblings Mark Blackwell and Belinda Blackwell, grandson Judah, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Flora, brothers James and Paul, sister Susan, and granddaughter Amelie.

A brief visitation will take place at 11am on August 21, 2021 at the Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene Pavillon in Flintstone, Georgia with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Assistance Fund (http;//tafcares.org/donors/donate/) an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs by providing financial assistance for their health-related expenses.
