Larry Jack Ivey

Larry Jack Ivey, a kind-hearted man of Baptist faith who deeply loved his family, passed away on April 15, 2023, at Erlanger Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the age of 65. Born on November 28, 1957, in Lafollette, Tennessee, to Jacob and Helen (Ballard) Ivey, Larry lived a simple and contented life.

Larry was known for his warm and welcoming demeanor and his love for his children. He found joy in spending time with his family, working in his yard, and relaxing on the porch with a cup of coffee, often accompanied by his beloved wife Karen. Larry had a soft spot for animals and would go out of his way to ensure their comfort and safety.

He is survived by his wife Karen Ivey, sons Mark Ivey and his wife Kim, daughter Kari Molney and her husband Brian, siblings Gary Ivey and his wife Marie, Ronnie Ivey, Kenneth Ivey, Sharon Richeson and her husband Ricky, Bobby Joe Ivey, and grandchildren Brianna Maloney, Emily Maloney, Jalen Hawkins, and Justin Rodgers. Also many nieces and nephews. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Ivey and Helen Ballard, brother Teddy Eugene Ivey, and Jimmy M Ivey, and nephew Bryan Eugene Richesin.

The family has entrusted Companion Funeral and Cremations Service Cleveland Chapel with the final arrangements. Friends and acquaintances are invited to share warm words of comfort and cherished memories of Larry on the online guestbook. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or the Cardiovascular ICU at Erlanger Baroness Hospital.

Larry Jack Ivey will always be remembered for his kind heart, his love for his family, and his simple pleasures in life. His absence will be deeply felt, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
