Larry Eugene Wilson

Larry Eugene Wilson, the son of the late Earl and Dorothy Wilson, was born on June 12, 1948, in Chattanooga, TN. He began working at the age of 9 and took great care of his family throughout his life. He started his own real estate company in Chattanooga and became a general contractor. Later in his life, he became the Executive Pastor at North Cleveland Church of God and was a faithful servant there for over 19 years. While there Larry served as Church Administrator, Singles Pastor, Benevolence, and the Evangelism Pastor. He loved serving and was instrumental in creating the Second Harvest Thrift store. He went on missions trips around the world and loved everyone he met.
His family and friends will forever cherish his life and legacy. He is survived by his wife Frances Wilson, his daughter and son in law, Angela and Jason Sluss, and his grandchildren Elijah, Ava, Josiah, and Joy. He is also survived by his sisters Linda Roland, Sonja Sirmans, and his brother Cecil Wilson along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Joshua Wilson and his siblings Arnold, Melvin, Mary, and Sherman.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 29th at 6:00 p.m – 9:00pm. and on Friday, November 30th at 10:00 a.m.-12:00pm. Services will be held at North Cleveland Church of God at 12:00pm on Friday, November 30th. Family and Friends are welcome to attend a short graveside service at Sunset Gardens immediately after the funeral.
The arrangements will be handled by Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN. Donations can be made to North Cleveland Church of God’s Children Building Initiative in lieu of flowers.
