Kirk Finch

Kirk Finch, 67, of Cleveland, TN passed into the arms of our dear Lord on February 21, 2019, at his home after a long battle with cancer. Kirk was born to Robert and Virginia (Parker) Finch in Santa Barbara, CA, on May 31, 1951. After high school Kirk studied nuclear medicine and worked as a technician and consultant in the field for over 30 years. He lived and worked in several states before retiring to Cleveland in 2010. Kirk had a passion for race cars and was an amateur drag racer in his early years. He was also an outdoors man and avid hunter while living in California and Montana. Kirk is of Christian faith and was very fond of his church family at The Church at Grace Point in Cleveland, TN, as well as his neighbors and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Kathryne Petri Finch. Kirk is survived by his sister, Susanne Burgess (John) of Hixson, TN, his daughter Jennifer Leonard (Joe) of Crofton, MD, his son Michael Finch (Amethist) of Clarksville, MD, his son Andrew Finch (Marguerite) of Clarksville, MD, eleven grandchildren, his three nieces, and two great-nieces.
The family is grateful for Kirk’s doctors and Hospice caregivers who walked patiently along side him throughout his difficult journey. The family will host a celebration of life service on Saturday, March 16th, 2019, at 10 a.m. at The Church at Grace Point, 2575 Old Freewill Road, in Cleveland, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial donation be made to The Church at Grace Point or the American Cancer Foundation.
