Kevin Leon Garrison

Kevin Leon Garrison, 54, went to his forever home on June 18, 2022. He was born on November 20, 1967 to David and Pauline Garrison in Dayton, Ohio. He was a life-long member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Englewood, TN. Kevin had a love for coaching softball teams but coaching his daughter’s softball team was one of his favorite things to do. Kevin also enjoyed going camping, fishing, and cheering on Tennessee Volunteer sports aside from spoiling his grandchildren.

Kevin was preceded in death by his loving wife Tina Garrison of 35 years. Mother Pauline Garrison and father and stepmother David and Charlotte Garrison. Sisters Theresa Ulen, Deborah Stacey, and Pamela Choate. Brother David Garrison. His favorite little buddy Joshua Freeman.

Kevin is survived by his sons David, Kevin (Kevy), and Dakota Garrison. Daughter and favorite softball player Sarah (Jonathon) Dodson. Brothers Brian (Heather) Garrison and Kenny Richardson. Sister Ruthie (Murray) Bay. Mother-in-law Jean Cross and Father-in-law Johnny (Janet) Wooten. Sister-in-laws Sue and Sarah Beth Wooten. Brother-in-law Ben Choate. Grandchildren Kenny Smith, Summer Smith, Brooklynn Dodson, Autumn Smith, Mackenzie Dodson, Sophia Garrison, Hazelle Garrison, Joshua Smith. Great granddaughter Journee Smith. Special friends Tim Freeman & Darrell (Hollywood) Smith. As well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 6:00pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens, TN, with Reverend Mark Hensley officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00-6:00pm prior to the service.
