Kenneth Ray Phillips

Kenneth Ray “Ken” Phillips, 56, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday January 15, 2019 in a Ooltewah health facility. He was Born on July 14, 1962 his twin sister Kathy in Chicago, Illinios to Eugene and Betty Phillips. He spent most his life KY, Cleveland, and Ooltewah. He was a Christian and member of Silverdale Baptist Church in Chattanooga. He graduated from UTC in Chattanooga with a bachelors degree in accounting and retired from Gill inc. in Trenton, GA as a controller. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He loved his family very much as well as his little dog Monster.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Dora Thompson and Dewey and Lesthie Phillips.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 33 years, Tammy Geren Phillips; son, Matthew A. Phillips both of Ooltewah. His parents and twin sister, Kathy Phillips of Aurora, IL; sister Karen Maynard (Larry) of Woodridge, IL; one brother Kerry Phillips of East Ridge, TN several nieces, nephews, and cousins and the Geren family.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday January 19, 2019 at Silverdale Baptist Church: North Ooltewah Campus. A celebration of life service will take place at 1:00pm on Saturday following visitation with Mark Habermas officiating. Interment will follow the service at Johnston Cemetery.
