Kenneth Hilton Mcnelly

Kenneth Hilton McNelly, 87, a lifelong resident of the Ocoee area, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Kenneth worked at TNT Plant as well as Olin Chemicals for most of his life. He was also a member of Boanerges Baptist Church. Kenneth served his country proudly in both the U.S. Army as well as the U.S. Navy. Kenneth loved spending time working outdoors, especially on his lawn mower which he rebuilt. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Goldman McNelley and Winnie Ellen Mayfield McNelley; siblings, William, J.R., Claud, Maud, Robert, Harold, Fred, and Leon.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Cindy (Leo) LaMetterey, Sheila (Dean) Wilson, Eric (Julie) McNelly, and Ivan (Jane) McNelly; grandchildren, Micah Swearengin, Colton Swearengin, Nathan McNelly, Hannah McNelly, Chloe McNelly, Silas McNelly, and Ethan McNelly; great grandchildren, Trinity, Matthew, Ava, and Nola Swearengin; siblings, Edith Crumley and Shelby (Roy) Wright; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4-7pm at Boanerges Baptist Church. The celebration of life service will begin at 7pm at the church following the visitation time. Interment will take place Friday at 11am in the Boanerges Baptist Church cemetery: Boanerges Baptist Church and cemetery is located at 234 Boanerges Church Rd, Old Fort, TN 37362.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Boanerges Baptist Church Youth Group in his honor.
