Kaye Ella Steadman

Kaye Ella Steadman, 73, of Rock Spring, GA passed away on March 4, 2020. She was born on March 13, 1946 to the late Everett and Jessie German. She was a resident of the Cleveland and Chickamauga area. She was most recently a member of LaFayette Church of Christ. Kaye was a beautiful lady and a devout Christian. She was gifted in many things, but one in particular was her gifting as an author. She published two books, “My Name’s Not Verly” and “The Girl in the Mirror.” Kaye was also a gifted gardener and a great cook. She loved westerns, especially “Gunsmoke.” She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Lyndale Steadman; son Clayborne “Clay” Steadman; brothers Cotton German and Kenneth German.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Adam Steadman and Jason Steadman and wife Chastity; siblings: Wilma Pickel and Wava Patterson; sister in law Phyllis German; grandchildren: Amanda Cyr, Matthew Steadman, and Aubrey Steadman.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:30pm on Sunday March 8, 2020 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life will be held at 12:30pm following visitation. Kaye will be interred at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516
