Katherine "Kathy" Davis

September 20, 1955 — January 29, 2022

Mrs. Katherine (Kathy/Sissy) Davis, age 66, passed away early Saturday morning, January 29, 2022 at her residence in Dayton, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Katherine Gill.

Mrs. Davis was born in Summerville, GA on September 20, 1955. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Pikeville, TN. She was a homemaker. She loved people and could light up the room with her loving smile from a mile away. She loved the Georgia Bulldogs. She loved listening to books on tapes and music of all kinds. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Mrs. Davis was also preceded in death by her siblings; Jimmy “Jim” Gill, Carol Gill, Sue Lee, and Tony Gill; and one grandchild, Luke Eugene Brown.

Kathy is survived by many loving and caring family members. That includes her husband Tim Davis of 28 years; son, Michael Pettyjohn; daughters and son-in-laws, Amanda and JR Brown, Jamie Crain, Chris and Natosha Istre; grandchildren, Jace Brown, Jocelyn and Jaylee Crain. She is also survived by one loving sister, Virginia Lively. Last but not least we can’t forget her beloved nieces and nephews. We all know how much they all meant to her.

We would like to thank our two angels, her sister-in-law Becky Henderson and special friend Jeannie Hufstetler, for being with her and our family in our time of need.

In accordance to Kathy’s wishes, she will be cremated, and the family will hold a memorial service at Friendship Baptist Church with Reverend Von Dunn officiating on February 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers we ask for you to donate to Retinitis Pigmentosa – Discovery Eye Foundation.

Companion Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Kathy Davis.
