Karl Eldon Tate

June 13, 1923 — November 21, 2017

Karl Eldon Tate, 94, a resident of Spring City, TN passed away on Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017 at Roane Medical Center. He was born on June 13, 1923 in Cocamo, Indiana. He was an honorably discharged WWII veteran of the United States Army. Karl was also a Mason.

He is preceded in death by his parents Fredrick & Clara Tate and his first wife Dorothy Tate.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Alta Roberts Tate, one son Richard Eldon Tate (Linda Rose) and one daughter Shelah Worthman (Raymond), six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two step daughters Karen Kirland and Marlene Edwards, numberous other extended family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service celebrating his life is planned for Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Spring City Baptist Church located at 23428 Rhea County Highway in Spring City with the Reverend Rob Hurd officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial dontions be made to the Spring City Baptist Church benevolence fund.
