Karinna Diane Yates

Karinna Diane Yates, 63, of Cleveland, TN passed away on December 5, 2017. She was born on December 19, 1953 to Walter B. and Wanda F. “Honey Faye” Yates. Karinna loved her Lord and Savior and was a Bible teacher to many children and adults. This love and dedication led her on many mission trips, nationally and internationally. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and she also sang in the choir and special music presentations at Madison Avenue Baptist and First Baptist in Alcoa. She was also a very talented and gifted athlete who excelled in basketball at Everett High and participated in track for the Knoxville Track Club.
Above all the things she loved to do, Karinna loved her family, especially her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father Walter B. Yates and brothers Danny Yates and Ronnie Yates. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother Honey Faye Yates; brother and sister in law Donnie and Connie Yates; nieces and nephews: Nick Yates (Morgan) and their children Reagan and Harvey Joseph of Maryville, TN; Courtney Yates Chaduverdi (Nakul) and children Arriya and Elli of New York, NY; Cara Yates Maddox (Devin) and their children Duke, Shepherd, and Wolfe of Nolensville, TN; Kelsey Yates Prose (John) and daughter Nora of Rainsville, AL.
There will be a memorial service at 1:00pm on Friday December 15, 2017 at the chapel at Sherwood Memorial Gardens located at 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN 37701.
