Karen Dianne Brown

Karen “Dianne” Brown, 72, of Cleveland, TN, gained her heavenly wings Thursday, January 27, 2022, after battling ovarian cancer the past year. Dianne was born January 4, 1950, to the late Maude (Grooms) and Warren Turner. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Hall; brothers, Darrell Turner, Ed Turner, Thomas Turner, and baby Theron Turner.

She spent her career as an RN and loved working in the nursery at Bradley Memorial, NICU at Parkridge, and a special needs nurse at Cleveland Middle School. Dianne loved her family, grand dogs, watching the UT Vols, gymnastics, figure skating, horse racing, and loved her birds.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her 2 daughters, Melissa (Willie) Childers and Shawna (Brian) Sandlan; grandsons, Theron Allen, USAF SSgt (E-3 AWACS) Brett Sandlan; granddaughters, Brittany Sandlan and Angela (Caleb) Shelton; sisters, Ruby Barrett, Rebecca Burchfield, Imogene “Jean” Mooneyham; a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend gratitude to the excellent care received by Erlanger Women’s Oncology, Erlanger’s OB/ Gynecology floor, Tennova Home health, and the many doctors that were involved in her care.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations being sent to: Women’s Oncology Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, P.O. Box 368, Signal Mountain, TN 37377.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Thursday, February 3,2022, at Companion Funeral Home, followed by the service in the chapel at 7:00 PM. Pastor Edith McCann Blair, officiating.
