Julie Michelene Works

Julie Michelene Works, 64, of Cleveland, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was born on February 19, 1958 to the late Thomas and Dovie Caldwell. Julie worked at Cleveland Speedway for many years and enjoyed dirt track racing. She also worked at North Cleveland Baptist Childcare and enjoyed children and taking care of them. She could often be found attending yard sales and she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband James Darrell “Doe” Works; brother David Caldwell; sister Brenda Caldwell Carder; grandson Henley Hipps.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Brandi Hipps (Travis); sister Debbie Walker; best friend and partner in crime, Kim Works; granddaughter Eliza Welch; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Julie’s family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Sunday February 5th at Companion Funeral Home and also Monday February 6th from 1pm until the 2pm Celebration of Life Service with Chuck DeFriese officiating. She will be laid to rest following her service at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tanner Works, Heath Works, Rowdy Works, Tommy Caldwell, Mark Carder, and Fred Carder Jr. serving as pallbearers.
