Obituary
Joyce Kirkpatrick Womack, 85, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday afternoon, June 5th, 2015 in a local hospital surrounded by her family. Joyce was born on December 4th, 1929 a daughter of the late D.G. & Elizabeth Kirkpatrick. She was a member of the Big Spring United Methodist Church. Joyce was retired from Magic Chef where she served for thirty eight plus years in the administrative offices. She was an avid mall walker who also enjoyed cleaning her home and taking care and loving on her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Womack, three sisters Virginia Goodner, Bonnie Scoggins and Vivian Kirkpatrick and one brother Jack Kirkpatrick.

Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters Janice Kersey and her husband George and Elaine W. Hyde, three grandchildren Greg Kersey(Angela) , Tammy Ledford (Clint) and Melanie Kersey, three great grandchildren Devin Kersey, Shelby Kersey and Chloe Ledford, numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Monday night, June 8th, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Big Spring United Methodist Church, 1196 Hardwick Street SE in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Ray Petty officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday night at the church from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.

The committal and interment will take place on Tuesday morning, June 9th, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chestuee United Methodist Church Cemetery with C. A. Lightfoot, Gale Gatlin, Roger York, Greg Kersey, Clint Ledford, & Devin Kersey serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Chestuee Memorial Association in Joyces memory. Those can be sent to the Chestuee Memorial Association, 929 Gatlin Road, Cleveland, TN 37323.
