Joyce Anne Gilbert

Joyce Anne Wilson Gilbert, beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on May 27th, 2023, surrounded by her loving daughter Channan Gilbert and her beloved Grace. She was born on November 27th, 1951.

Joyce is survived by her devoted daughter, Channan Gilbert, of Chattanooga Valley. She is also survived by her sisters Patti and DD (Roger), her sister-in-law Debbie (Melvin), her good friend Josh (Madeline) Bates, and her godchildren Abby, Silas, Reuben, Freya, and Madison.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Wilson, her mother, Vera Wilson, and her husband, Robert Gilbert.

Joyce graduated from Chattanooga Valley High School in the Class of 1969. She dedicated 51 years of her life to her work at Anesthesiologist Associates. In 1975, she married the love of her life, Robert Gilbert. Joyce was an active Sunday school teacher for over 40 years, sharing her faith and wisdom with her community.

Joyce had a zest for life and loved to explore the world through her travels. She was passionate about pickleball, softball, ceramics, and her involvement with the youth group.

A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at the Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene on June 24th, 2023, starting at 5 pm.
