Joseph Scott Blackburn

Joseph Scott “Joey” Blackburn, 59, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 6, 2023. He was born on December 8, 1963 to the late Joseph Gene “Pinky” and Joanne Blackburn. Joey had a love for the outdoors and worked as a river guide on the Ocoee River for nearly 15 years. He also enjoyed riding jeeps and spending time outside in the mountains. Joey was a valued employee of Rubbermaid for more than 25 years.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory three siblings: Malinda Blackburn, John Blackburn (Robin), Jeffrey Blackburn (Jema); nephews: Joshua Blackburn (Angela) and Jarrett Blackburn.

Joey’s family will receive friends on Monday April 17, 2023 at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service from 1pm until 3pm with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3pm with Dr. Sammy Hooker officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service at Red Hill Cemetery.
