Joseph Douglas Blackburn

Joseph Douglas Blackburn, 60, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023. He served his country in the Tennessee Army National Guard for 17 years. He was an AEMT with Bradley County EMS and Rescue for over 20 years. He had a passion for helping people in any way he could. He was an avid motorcyclist who loved loud Rock-N-Roll music and spending time with his grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, James W. Blackburn, Jr., and Joyce Wilson Blackburn. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Jacqueline (Jackie) Hunt Blackburn of Cleveland; children Stephanie Blackburn Hale, (Mickey), Melissa Blackburn (Ben) all of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Schyler Rogers, Parker Rogers, Jordan Rogers, Addisyn Achata, Avari Achata; brothers, Ken Blackburn (Sherry), Alan Blackburn (Traci); sister Becky Griffin (Richard); and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church located at 3405 Peerless Road, NW from 3:00pm-7:00pm with the service to follow.
