Jonathan David Michael Graham Sr.

April 26, 1966 — May 20, 2022

Friday, May 20th, 2022 Jonathan David Michael Graham Sr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with cancer.

Jonathan was born April 26, 1966 in Milan, Tennessee, and moved with his family to Mississippi, Matoon Illinois, and Lincoln Park, Michigan before settling in Cleveland Tennessee, for his senior year of high school. After high school, Jon graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College, and joined the Air Force serving his country from 1986 to 1990 as a Sergeant stationed in Aviano, Italy. After leaving the air force he worked as a diesel mechanic, spending 17 years with McKee Foods, while honing his knife-making skills. His hobby occupied any spare moments he had when not busy with his children whom he loved more than everything. In 2007, Jonathan made the leap to full-time knife-making and never looked back. He considered himself one of the fortunate ones as he was able to build a business doing something that he loved. Jonathan built a reputation as an innovative and well-respected knife maker, well known and admired in his industry. His mentorship of new makers, and his friendships in the industry are proof of what a gentleman maker Jonathan was.

Jonathan was predeceased by his father, Thomas Graham, and a sister-in-law, Cortney Graham, and is survived by his partner, Brenda Boudry, his children Jonathan Graham Jr,(Rebecca Wright) Keelan Graham and Tayla Graham, his mother Luraly Graham, a sister Noni (Rick) Royal, and brothers Daniel (Myonghui) Graham and Joshua (Terry) Graham. Jonathan is a proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren along with his partner, Brenda.

A service to honor Jonathan’s memory will be held at a later date and will be announced through his family, friends and colleagues.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.
