Johnny T. Raynor

March 4, 1965 — August 22, 2021

Mr. Johnny Thomas Raynor, 56, was born on March 4, 1965, in LaFollette, TN. Johnny passed away on August 22, 2021, in Cleveland, TN. He was a loving and devoted husband, Daddy, and Papaw.
Johnny was a 1983 graduate of Campbell County High School where he was a great athlete. He played football and still holds records that are said to never be broken. 2 weeks after his last high school football game, Johnny debuted in the squared circle on November of 1982 in Downtown LaFollette. He worked most weekends. From then on, he did several tv tapings for USA Championship Wrestling, Continental Championship Wrestling and WCW.

Johnny Debuted his gimmick of “The Workin’ Man” in April 1990 and continued until his final match on August 14, 2021, against Deke Rivers. “The Workin’ Man “ held many titles over his almost 40 year career. The last title he held was the Tag Team titles with our son, Jake “The Hammer” Raynor and he was so proud of the talent Jacob is turning into. I know Jacob will continue on his Daddy’s legacy. In 1998 he was ranked #354 out of 15, 000 wrestlers in the world in the PWI Top 500.

Johnny is preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years, Raylean Raynor;daughter, Tera Bradshaw; father, Oscar Raynor of Houston, TX; brother, David Raynor; maternal grandparents, Frank and Ruby Wilson; paternal grandparents, John and Lelia Raynor; mother and father-in law, Raymond and Wanda Carroll.
