Johnny David Owens

Johnny David Owens, 65, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Johnny was a man that pride himself on hard work and love for his family. He was a self-employed business owner for more than 19 years in the Trucking Industry. Johnny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and son. Johnny was an avid UT Volunteers fan. He would lend a hand to those in need without hesitation. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, George A. Owens; sisters, Cecilia Murray and Kay Green.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia Parker Owens; sons, Heath (Virginia) Owens and Whitney (Jessica) Owens; grandson, David “Booger” Owens; mother, Luwana Owens; siblings, Gilbert (Brenda) Owens and Becky (Terry) Calhoun; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday October 7, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00pm following the visitation on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Johnny’s honor.
