John Edwin Simmons

John Edwin Simmons, lifelong resident of Chattanooga, TN, passed away February 8, 2023, at the age of 71. John was a kind man and loved his family, music and playing the drums. He also enjoyed reading the outdoors, the simple things in life. John worked construction and in the restaurant business most of his life.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Charlsie Tatum Runnels and father, Eueal Leo Simmons.

Survived by his sister, Sonja Trusley; nephew, Jason Foster; niece, Ashley Bowman; great-nieces, Stormie Smith and Abby Cash; great-nephew, Bryson Foster; great-great-niece, Riley Evan; and a host of cousins.

Services will be announced at a later date for a celebration of life for John.
