Joan was a 1959 graduate of Altoona Area High School in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She worked in the Cracker Barrel gift shop for 25 years bringing joy to many customers who loved her dearly. She previously worked as a bookkeeper for multiple family businesses.

Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She acquired the name of “Gwee” by her first grandchild and later became known to everyone as “Gwee.” She enjoyed cooking, reading, puzzles, card playing and gardening. “Gwee” had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh.

“Gwee” was extremely loved and will be dearly missed. “You are my SUNSHINE, my only sunshine. You make me HAPPY when skies are gray. You’ll never know dear how much I LOVE YOU, please don’t take my SUNSHINE AWAY.”
