Jimmy Marvin Leonard

Jimmy Marvin Leonard born February 23, 1949 peacefully entered his eternal home at his residence February 7, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Leonard and Julia Poarch Leonard, sisters Joan Leonard Cook and Barbara Leonard Addis. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ann Guess Leonard, by three children, Krista Leonard of Canton, GA, Alicia Leonard of Rocky Face, GA, Jordan Leonard of Chattanooga, TN, and by mother-in-law, Ruth Guess of Rocky Face, GA. Also surviving are brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Addis, Jerry and Donna Cook, Billy and Wanda Guess, David Guess, Max and Rhonda Guess, Charles and Kathy Guess, David and Gail Hall. Nieces and nephews also survive. Jimmy was a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, a Veteran of the US Navy, a former member of the Ruritan Club and Dalton Civitan Club, the owner of Leonard and Associates Real Estate Appraisal Firm and volunteered his time at Mountain Top Boys Home as well as in the community. Visitation will be Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Rocky Face, GA at 3pm with a memorial service to follow at 5pm with Reverend Tac Coley and Reverend Daniel Addis officiating. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org, American Cancer Society at cancer.org, and Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church 597 Lafayette Rd. Rocky Face, GA.
