Jimmy Dale Varnell

Jimmy Dale Varnell, 64, of Charleston passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Erlanger Hospital. He was born a son of the late James and Juanita Varnell and was a lifelong resident of Charleston. Jimmy enjoyed collecting tools and DVDs and spending time with his fur-babies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Nell Varnell and Dave and Beatrice Wilson; a nephew, Timothy Duggan; a niece, Tiffany Duggan; and a great nephew, Hunter Haney.
Survivors include a daughter, Emily Nicole Varnell (Harmon Hardin) of Old Fort; a granddaughter, Rebekah Hardin of Old Fort; a sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Allen Duggan of Etowah; a niece and nephews, David Duggan (Shannon) of Etowah, Misty Haney (David) of Cleveland, Kevin Duggan (Dhea) of Riceville, Adam Duggan (Ashley) of Knoxville, and Bryan Duggan (Mayemma) of Dayton; and Aunt, Ruth Matthews of Riceville; 13 great nieces and nephews; many beloved cousins; special friends, Dennis and Linda Geren and Mary Ann “Tootie” Duggan, all of Charleston; and his two special cats, Sheba and Sylvester.
Friends are invited to join the family for Graveside services at 2pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Council Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Tom Carver officiating. The pall bearers will be David, Kevin, Adam and Bryan Duggan, David Haney and Dennis Geren.
