Jewell Walls Bell

Jewell Walls Bell, 101, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 23, 2017. She was born on November 29, 1915 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Doshie Helmes Walls & Bascom Charles Walls. Jewell graduated from New Brockton High School before going to business school. She married the love of her life and soulmate, Joe E. Bell Sr., in 1939. They lived in the Detroit area before moving to Marietta, Georgia in 1954 and finally moving to Cleveland, Tennessee in 1958. Jewell worked at Lawson’s Fashion Center and loved gardening, but she was most known for her deep love for her family. She was a wonderful homemaker and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Bell Sr.; siblings, Charlie Walls, Bob Walls, Verna Boudon, Mary Hudnall, Calla Mae Price, and Jackie Wise.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Jerry Brantley (Emerson) and Joe E. Bell Jr. (Pattie); grandchildren, Gena Haney Faulk (Frank), Kim Bell Peak (Junior), Amy Bell Frederick (Gil), Cindy Easley (Wayne Jr.), and Holly Black (Kent); great-grandchildren, Bo Faulk, Robert Peak (Hannah), Riley Peak, Dawson Peak, Benjamin Peak, Garrett Frederick, Clayton Frederick, Tyson Black, and Will Easley III; great great-grandchild, Levi Faulk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Friday August 25, 2017 at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Lake Walker officiating the service.
Following the service, Jewell will be laid to rest in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with the great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
