Jewel Christine Randolph

Jewel Christine Randolph, 94, a longtime resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Sunday, January 1st, 2017 in a local healthcare facility. Jewell was born on April 1st, 1922 in Hayesville, NC a daughter of the late Glover & Hazel Ledford. She was of the Church of God faith and a member of Westmore Church of God. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant to Dr. Proffitt and then later went on to work for Commercial Business Machines. Jewell volunteered for the Crisis Help Line. She enjoyed sewing, playing her Hammond Organ and was an avid Bible reader.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers Frank Ledford, Donald Ledford, Joe Ledford and Beverly Ledford.
Jewel leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Randy Randolph of Powell, TN, one daughter Sharon Stinnett of Old Fort, TN, two grandsons Marshall Stinnett and wife Erin and Mathew Stinnett of Knoxville, TN, one sister Jeanette Benton, one sister in law Mary Katherine Ledford, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday afternoon, January 4th, 2017 at 5:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Wendell Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until the 5:00 PM service time.
The interment will take place on Thursday morning, January 5th, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Fort Hill Cemetery.
