Jerry Lee Burnett

Jerry Lee Burnett, 64, of Old Fort, TN passed away on January 25, 2022 in Ocala, FL. He was born on August 29, 1958 to the late Eugene Burnett Sr. and Oma Ruth Walker Burnett. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid Tennessee Football fan who loved the Vols and the Titans. He also enjoyed John Wayne movies and Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash Music. He retired from Sequoya Nuclear Power Plant after many years of service.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by three sisters Marilyn Dickens, Donna Ridge, and Charlsie Lowe and brother Fred Burnett.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his fiancé Sherry Belk; children: Travis Burnett, Cody Burnett (Shanna), and Dylan Burnett (Holley); siblings: Marsha Hatfield, Gene Burnett, and Jim Burnett (Judy); grandchildren: Logan, Alexis, Cloe, Zero, Zyon, Zelda, Kylo, and Chance. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends and special niece Tina Blair and her boys Dallas, Michael, Jake, and Mason.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 8pm on Tuesday February 1st at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. His family will receive friends from 5pm until the 8pm service time. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at 11am on Wednesday February 2nd at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
