Jens Jenson Oxford,Iii

Jens Jenson Oxford III, 76, passed away Saturday morning, February 1, 2020 at the family home. He had returned a few years ago to live the remainder of his days in Cleveland where he had lived most of his life. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy on the USS Enterprise and was a retiree from TVA where he learned to scuba dive which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also liked to work with horses and take an occasional ride through the winding roads on his Victory motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jens Jenson Oxford Jr and Mary Edith Dooley Oxford, along with sister Kay F. Oxford.

Survivors include daughters, Maredith Oxford King (Shane) of Cleveland, and Janet Jenkins Legg (Jamie) of Harrison;Sons, Michael Jenkins (Tina) of Riceville, Gary Jenkins of LaFayette, and Tony Jenkins (Renita) of Cleveland; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 4-7 and the service will follow immediately with Tony Jenkins officiating.
