Jay Roy Rodgers

Jay Roy Rodgers, of Madisonville, Tennessee passed away on Friday March 4, 2022. Jay was born to the late James Leroy and Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Brown Rodgers on December 1, 1941, in Monroe County.

Along with his parents Jay was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Porto, and Wilma Yearwood; brothers, Clyde Rodgers, Thomas Rodgers, and Raymond Rodgers; and his great grandson. Terry Jay Julius Rodgers II.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Randy (Gail) Rodgers, and James Rodgers; great granddaughter, Malenna Rodgers; grandkids, Terry Rodgers, Jeremy (Jesica) Rodgers, Ryan Rodgers, and Ashley Rodgers; his siblings, David (Cathy) Rodgers, Carl (Janie) Rodgers, Bobby Rodgers, Bucky Rodgers, Peggy Robinson, Druscilla Buckman, Martha (Paul) Yearwood, and Mary Graham; several great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 6:00pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Pastor Gary Hawley. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm prior to the service.
