Jane Shelton Green

October 24, 1932 — August 6, 2021

Jane Shelton Green 88, of Cleveland passed away Friday August 6, 2021, peacefully in her home.

Jane was the youngest of three born to Ople McInturf and Roy R. Shelton of Calhoun, TN. Ople died when Jane was six months of age. Before her death, Ople requested that Gussie Shelton Bradford and Arthur Bradford take Jane and raise her as their own. This request was honored, and Jane became the daughter of Gussie and Arthur Bradford.

Jane was a graduate of Calhoun High School, Calhoun, TN and National School of Business, Cleveland, TN. She was a long-time secretary at Hardwick Stove Company. Jane was also a volunteer at the Museum during that time. Jane moved to Kerrville, Texas in 1997. She worked part-time for Edward Jones for years and did volunteer work while in Texas. During retirement she and her husband Wes enjoyed traveling. She enjoyed helping friends, reading, sewing and cooking. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville, TX. Jane moved back to Cleveland in 2017 to be closer to her family.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband Wesley Green and her parents. She is survived by her son Gregory Scott Green (Angel) of Cleveland. Grandchildren, JD Kuntz (Lindsey), Chad Chaplin (Cayci), Andy Clark (Sarah), Alex Clark (Alicia). 7 Great grandchildren, Jack, Carsan, Jaxon, Izzy, Carolina, William, Hayes and her beloved dog Roxie. Jane loved her family and being around them always put a smile on her face.

Special thanks go to Hospice of Chattanooga and Donna Carter her special caregiver for some time.
There will be no service at this time. Jane will be put to rest with her husband Wesley, at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
