Jane Meredith "Merry" Craig

Jane Meredith “Merry” Craig, 65, of Harrison, TN passed away on August 8, 2017. She was born on January 22, 1952 to the late Tom and Sally Peden. Merry was a retired school teacher who taught health, P.E., and coached track and volleyball at Cleveland Middle School for over 30 years. She lived in this area for most of her life and was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church. She loved her family and spending time with them; fishing, quilting, knitting, and cheering on the Vols. She also loved spending time at her Lake House on Chickamauga Lake.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 35 years, Walter Craig Sr.; brother, Tom Peden II; daughters: Sally Overstreet (Andy), Teresa Connors (Scott), and Karen Craig; son Walter Craig Jr. (Jenny); six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to these, she leaves behind her two beloved dogs Molly and Maybe.
The family will receive friends and family from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Saturday August 12, 2017 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life memorial service will follow the visitation at 6:00pm.
