James Ronald Cameron

James Ronald Cameron Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 74, in his hometown of Chickamauga, Georgia. Ronald was born on June 29, 1948, to Richard and Lilly (Pace) Cameron, and was one of thirteen siblings.

Ronald had a deep love for his family and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and took pride in his yardwork. Ronald was a child of God.

Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his siblings, Jean, O’May, William, Frankie, Charles, LeRoy, Lionard.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances Elaine Cameron, as well as his children: James Ronald Cameron Jr., Thomas Delane Cameron, Tina Lynn Johnson, and Janifer Elaine Bunch. He is also survived by his siblings: Billy, Johnny, Clarence, Clifford, and Sister. Ronald was a loving grandfather to Brandon Cameron, Bryan Cameron, Jacob Sismore, Ashley Newby, Jesalyn Cantrell, Devin Cameron, Angel Lewis, Dylan Bunch, Lilly Bunch, and JT Bunch, and a proud great-grandfather to Evangeline, Aubree, Conner, Steven, Maddalyn, Kaiden, Ella, Layla, and Alysea.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service Cleveland Chapel. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Calvary Way Baptist Church, located at 20 Wheeler Avenue, Chickamauga, Georgia 30707, at 2:00 p.m. Ronald will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the love and joy he brought into their lives.
