Obituary
James N. Cartwright, known as Cartwright, 72, a lifelong native of Bradley County, TN passed away on Thursday night, March 19th, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. James is of the Christian faith. He worked most of his life in the upholstery industry. James enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening and working in the yard.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paris and Ruth Cartwright and one sister Patsy Ponte.

James leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 48 years in July Nina Strickland Cartwright, three sons and their wives James Anthony & Tonya, Jonathan Blake & Sharon and Jeremy Charles & Jennifer, six grandchildren Haley, Nicole, Johnna, Makenzi, Makayla and Colin Cartwright, one great granddaughter Abegayle Evans, three brothers C. L. (Bobby) and Freddy (Ina) all of Cleveland, TN and Jerry (Cathy) of Birchwood, TN, one sister Brenda Brady of Ooltewah, TN, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Sunday, March 22nd, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church located at 535 Durkee Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Beecher White and the Reverend Daniel White officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pat Melton, Shane Strickland, David Adams, Carl Buckner, Todd Collins, Cecil Michaels, Gary Rymer, Tracy Pendergrass and Ronnie Price serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Cartwright, Tyler Hunt and Joey Payne.

The family will receive friends on Saturday night, March 21st, 2015 at the Companion Funeral Home chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Also at the church on Sunday from 2:30 until the 4:00 Pm service time.
