James "Jake" Jackson

Obituary

James Robert "Jake" Jackson, 54, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 16th, 2014 in Nashville, TN, succumbing to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on December 26th, 2013. Jake was born on November 27th, 1959 in Atlanta, GA. He was a graduate of Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN. He was employed as a mechanical engineer by Whirlpool Corporation in Cleveland, TN at the time of his death and was previously employed by Poulan/Electrolux in Nashville, AR.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Krogman Jackson of Cleveland, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Josh & Catherine Jackson of Cookeville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Jaima and Scott Shoup of Cookeville, TN, granddaughters, Elizabeth and Rebecca Jackson and Kyla Shoup all of Cookeville, TN; mother and step father, Veva and Billy Foster of Horatio, AR; brother David Jackson of Horatio, AR; father, Ed Jackson of Houston, TX; step daughter, Janean Mills of Cookeville, TN; step granddaughters Jocelyn and Jaylin Mills. He also leaves behind a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jake loved his family and friends and all will miss him greatly.

Jake's Physical body was cremated at his request and his soul is in Heaven awaiting the rest of us. A memorial service is planned for July 26th, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Horatio United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice in Jake's memory.
