James Edward Ratcliff

James Edward Ratcliff, 42, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. He was born on May 27, 1977. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Decatur. He loved spending his time at the river, camping, fishing and doing all things outdoors. He was an avid fan of the NBA, especially the Boston Celtics. James enjoyed eating good food, going to 6 Flags and listening to Metallica.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles, and uncle, Rod.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Karen; sons, Dylan Liner and Tyler Cathey; daughters, Kaylee Ratcliff and Karlee Ratcliff; brother, Clint Ratcliff; grandchildren, Serenity Liner and Mavis Huskey; and many special friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN. A Celebration of Life service will follow beginning at 1:00.
