James Edward Monroe, aged 56, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on May 23, 2023, at his residence in Ooltewah, Tennessee. He was born on July 25, 1966, in East Ridge, Tennessee, to Raymond and Charlotte (Gas) Monroe.


James, a proud Native American biker, embraced his heritage and called the area his home for the past five years. He had a passion for woodworking and was a master carpenter, showcasing his skill and creativity in his craft. James held a deep connection to Native American customs and followed them with reverence. His spiritual beliefs included a strong faith in God, which provided him guidance and strength throughout his life.


Left to cherish his memory is his life partner, Gwendolyn Wiley, who shared a deep and profound bond with James. Their love and companionship were a source of strength and joy for both of them. James is also survived by his loving mother, Charlotte Monroe, who provided him with endless love and support. His beloved daughter, Katie Monroe, held a special place in his heart and will forever carry his legacy forward. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Christy Cossin, David Monroe, and Sheena Bentley, who shared in the joys and challenges of life with James.


James was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Monroe, whose memory he cherished and held close to his heart.
