James Edward Curtis

James (Jimmy) Edward Curtis, 81, of Oldfort Tennessee passed away August 27 peacefully at home with his son by his side. James was born March 5, 1940 in Murphy, North Carolina. James is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and his ex-wife Ann.

Those left behind to honor the memory of James are his son Charles Allen Curtis (Jennifer) of OldFort Tennessee; his daughter Jennifer Franklin (Rodney) of Lanett Alabama; granddaughters Ashley Seegar (Leo),Kelly Adams, Stephanie Adams, Leairra Hunt, Sophie Franklin; six great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews.

James retired from construction operating heavy equipment. In his earlier years he owned and operated a pulp wood business. James loved his family and he loved being outdoors. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his garden. James was a very loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by so many.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
