James Edward Brewer

James Edward Brewer, 82, currently of Yukon, Oklahoma, but formerly Cleveland, TN passed away on March 25, 2018. Earth’s loss but truly Heaven’s gain has begun for our precious and loving companion, father, brother, and friend. A man who left behind all the love, compassion, and generosity that any earthly man could possibly do. His absence here on this earth has left deep sadness and loneliness in so many people’s hearts.
Jim and Judy had been mainly lifetime members of Eastside Church of Christ and truly loved the fellowship there. After moving to Yukon, they became members of Lakehoma Church of Christ.
They resdided in Cleveland until June 17, 2017 after relocating to Yukon, Oklahoma to live with their daughter. Jim served in the United States Air Force for four years and was an honored veteran. Jim was also part owner of the former Cleveland Express Trucking Company here in Cleveland.
He is preceded in death by one son Jeffrey Brewer; parents Ruth and Turner Brewer; mother and father in law Frances and John McConnell; siblings: Baby Brewer, Margaret Brewer, Gilbert Brewer, Mamie Clark, Betty Bain, Roy Brewer, and Linda Randolph.
He is survived by his wife Judy Brewer; daughter Jena Brewer Smith (Roger); sibling: Reba Boling, Ann Rayburn (Kenneth), David Brewer (Linda), Carolyn Ferguson (Randell), Glendene Brewer and brother in law Willie Bain. In addition to these he leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday April 3rd at Eastside Church of Christ. A memorial service will follow at 7:00pm.
