Jacob Reid Mantooth

March 6, 2004 — November 5, 2018

Jacob Reid Mantooth, 14, went to his heavenly home on Monday, November 5, 2018. He was a
beloved son, grandson, brother and nephew. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Baby Jacob, Jake Jake, Bubba or Jakey- just some of the names he was so affectionately called by
the many people that loved him is now free from his bodily restraints. Jacob’s cherubic face and
contagious smile could light up any room and you could get lost in the love in his bright blue eyes.
He exuded love of the purest form. It was impossible to be around Jacob and not feel the effects of
his charismatic personality. He could tell you things without ever having to speak a word. He was so
many peoples’ best friend and knew so many secrets without ever having a conversation. The peace
you felt while holding Jacob was nothing short of extraordinary. Jacob’s personality shined. He was
mischievous and funny. He was a typical brother and laughed when his siblings got in trouble, but
you could tell he loved them with his whole gigantic heart. He loved babies and children. He loved
being outside and rolling around on the bumpiest route possible emulating the path he took with
everything. He kept us all on our toes, but it was worth every second. He will be missed more than
words can possibly explain. Jacob has left an impact on all that knew him and his life continues to
make the world a better place. To know him was to love him.
He is preceded in death by his great grandfather, Roy Mantooth and longtime nurse Brenda Moore
“Nena.”
