Obituary

Jacob Keith Grissom, 24, of Cleveland, TN passed away on October 13, 2015. He was born on August 18, 1991 to James Grissom and Carlene Ruth Grissom. Jacob was a lifelong resident of this area. He was always full of life and making everyone around him laugh. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, as well as paracording, drawing, and was an avid Tennessee Vols Football fan. Above all things, Jacob loved his family and loved spending time with them.

He is preceded in death by his great grandparents: Marvin and Jewell Bartlett; Lester and Mildred Rogers and Helen Granny Cross Lawson; grandparents: Carl and Janice Ruth; uncle Marvin Willie Ruth; and two cousins Talon Grissom and Brandon Hadden.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother and father: Carlene Grissom (Tony Melton) and James K. Grissom; the love of his life Tammie Powers; brothers Aaron Gee and Caleb Grissom; sister Jessica Gee; grandparents: Martha Bean and James T. Grissom; niece and nephew: Antonio Vargas and Alyssa Gee.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday October 17, 2015 at River of Life Holiness Church in Cleveland, TN with Ronnie Bishop, Mike Whitmer, and Teresa Miller officiating. Interment will follow the service in Shiloh Cemetery in Benton, TN Aaron Gee, Robby Free, Tracy Grissom, Adam Hill, Matt Price, and Austin Hadden will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Antonio Vargas, Alyssa Gee, Bentley Catlett, Millie Catlett, Bryce Pendergrass, and Aaliyah Yates. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Friday October 16, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN.
