Jacob Aaron Howard

September 12, 1989 — July 2, 2022

Jacob Aaron Howard arrived at his heavenly estate on July 2, 2022, an estate that his Savior prepared for him many years in advance. He was born on September 12, 1989, in Melbourne, FL, the third son and baby boy. Mom and Dad affectionately called him Jakerdoo as a child. He was a member of Mt. Olive Church of God and volunteered in the Children’s Ministry as a young man.

Jacob, or Jake to his friends, had a huge heart and was very good-natured. In fact, he won the Citizen Award during grade school at Arnold Elementary which garnered him a new nickname amongst the family as C.J. for Citizen Jake. He was not only a great citizen, but a very loving and protective big brother to his baby sister, Brianna. From Arnold, Jacob matriculated to Lake Forest MS where he met his best friend for life, Dean Pavlou, a fourth son to Jake’s parents. It would be these two hooligans who would get in more than a modicum of mischief to include a Halo Game House Party that went awry while Mom and Dad were out of the country. Dean and Jake, however, would soon channel their mischievous energy towards the Bradley Central High School wrestling mat. Jacob loved the sport, and in his senior year as the starting 171-pound wrestler, helped the Bradley Bears to another TSSAA state championship. He was voted Most Talented his senior year.

Throughout his latter adolescent years and well into his teens, Jacob and his two older brothers, along with a host of other aspiring videographers and actors, made reels and reels of homemade movies across a variety of genres from comedy to horror. They were the modern-day version of the Rat Pack of the early 2,000’s. He married in 2015 and 11 months later saw his only child and literal apple of his eye, Charlotte Rose, enter the world. She was every breath he took. She was in every sense his shadow. He had seven years of experience working with Coca-Cola as a merchandiser and most recently as a salesman, a chip off the ol’ block. He loved roving mountainous trails in his Jeep Wrangler and any opportunity to go camping with his bruhs. He was very much a simple man in that all he wanted was the Norman Rockwell painting—a house to call his home, a family replete with a precious child, his prized Jeep, and of course his beloved canine, Nya, whom he raised from a pup and who endured with him his every triumph and every sorrow.

His obituary would not be complete without calling attention to his undying love for the Denver Broncos football team. He was the quintessential fan who could be found on any given Sunday proudly decked out in Broncos gear rooting on his favs like Von Miller, Demaryius Thomas, John Elway and so many more. It seems easily apropos for him to lie in rest in a Broncos jersey.
He is preceded in death by his Grandpa Alvin B. Walker, his Grammy Judith Janene Howard who named him, and his Uncle Tim Walker. Those left to cherish and perpetuate his memory are his only child Charlotte Rose, his parents Brian and Karen Howard, two brothers Jason Howard (Janelle) and Brock Howard, his baby sister Brianna Hargett (Grayson), four nephews Jayden, Colton, Chase, and Carson Howard, PawPaw Alan LeRay Howard, Grandma Bonnie Walker, along with other extended family, church family, and a bevy of friends and Coke colleagues.

A service celebrating his life is planned for Sunday, July 10, 2022, at 5:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Church of God located at 3522 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN with the Reverends James and Gary Sears officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30-5:00 P.M. prior to the service. The interment will immediately follow the service at the Mt. Olive Cemetery with Brett Dierdorf, Madison Carroll, Dean Pavlou, Grayson Hargett, Brock Howard, and Jason Howard as pallbearers.
