Jack Durand Wilson

February 19, 1948 — December 22, 2020

Jack Durand Wilson, 72, of Chattanooga, TN aka Papaw, left us for heaven on December 22, 2020, after a hard fought battle with congestive heart failure. He was at home and surrounded by his family.

Jack was born in Apison Tn. He attended Ooltewah High School and Berry College and was a member of Abba’s House. He is survived by his wife Annie Wilson , son Chris (Rachel) Wilson, bonus son, Lamar (Tammy) Clark, 6 grandchildren, Luke, Lucy, and Lake Wilson, Jacob, Tucker & Isabel Clark, brother, Johnny R Wilson and several nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his Father, James R Wilson and Mother and Daddy, Bettye Jane and Thomas L Davis and sister Dorinda McDowell.

Jack loved cars and worked for many years in the car industry. Jack was a salesman and a great one, but his crowning glory was his family. They were his world and if you spent five minutes with him you would hear how much he loved them and how proud he was of each of them. He was a loyal and trusted friend to many and will be greatly missed. Our loss is heaven’s gain.

Due to Covid-19 a graveside service will be held in the Pavilion at Plowman Cemetery, 11122 E Brainerd Rd. Apison Tn on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. with Ed Emerson officiating. The family requests that social distancing be observed during this service.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in Jack’s honor may be made to Adult & Teen Challenge of the Mid South, 1108 W 33rd St., Chattanooga, Tn 37410.
A special Thank You to Hospice of Chattanooga for their excellent and loving care.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Jack or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Wilson family with these arrangements.
