Jack Davis, 94, a resident of Cleveland for the past sixty plus years passed away on Sunday night, February 1st, 2015 at his home. Jack was born on September 13th, 1920 in Athens, GA a son of the late Edward and Bertha Davis. He was a member of the Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church. Jack was an honorably discharge veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during World War II while being stationed in the Philippians. He was an avid Atlanta Brave Fan and a retired executive vice president for McKee Baking.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Ida Inez Davis in January 2013.

Jack leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters Ginger Imburgia and her husband Phillip and Jackie McCoy and her husband Dr. David McCoy, two sisters Elizabeth Williams and Robbie Lee Land (James), two grandchildren Dr. Kimberly Helms (Kevin), Kenneth David McCoy (Claire), nine grandchildren Charlie Wieters, Sam Wieters, Bess Wieters, Amelia Helms, Alex Helms, Addie Helms, Branam McCoy, Niess McCoy and Matthew McCoy, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at 12:30 PM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Reverend Lanny Green officiating. Jack will also be honored for his service to our country with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the North Cleveland Baptist Church Building Fund in Jack's memory.
