Obituary
J W Nunley, 67, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Tuesday morning, September 15th, 2015 at his home. J W was born on October 13th, 1947 in McDonald, TN. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during the Vietnam War. J W attended the McDonald United Methodist Church. He retired in 2013 with over thirty five years of service from Miller Industries in Ooltewah, TN.

J W is preceded in death by one son Jason Travis Nunley, his mother Grace Nunley, one brother Walter Mitchell and his mother-in-law Dorothy Pauline Pell Dyer.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of five years Cindy Dyer Nunley, two sisters Charlie Mae Scoggins and Rachael Pickett (Johnny), brothers and sisters in law; Beverly & Verlin Gourley, Greg & Sharon Cashion and Roy & Cindy Ballew, step children; Micheal Blackwell (Kayla) and Paula Blackwell, three step grandchildren; Hunter, Blake & McKenzie Blackwell, a special nurse Dorothy Williamson, several nieces, nephews and numerous other extended family members and friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday, September 17th, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the McDonald United Methodist Church located at 4836 South Lee Highway in McDonald, TN with Reverend Mark Barber officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery with Jeno Bowers, Terry Wattson, Keith Colgan, Donald McGraw, Brad Pickens, Allan McNabb serving as pallbearers. His nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The service will conclude with military honors and also a white dove release.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday night, September 16th, 2015 at the church from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and also two hours prior to the service on Thursday.
