Irvin French Kinser Jr.

Irvin French Kinser Jr., 73, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday May 6, 2018. Irvin was born on November 9, 1944 to the late Irvin French Kinser Sr. & Willie Mae Headrick Kinser. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, and being outside. Irvin was known for his constant humor and teasing of others, always keeping those around him laughing; however, he was most known for his unwavering generosity and kindness. More than anything, Irvin loved his family and adored his precious grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Kinser Harrison.
Irvin leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Jewel Kinser; children, Kevin French Kinser and Kelly Kinser Owens (Brian); grandchildren, Belle Victoria Owens, Ashton Kinser Owens, James Tyler Owens, Wesley Hayden Owens, and Alexandria Jewel “Lexi” Owens; sisters, Hope Kinser Hall, Jimmie Kinser Cooper, Gladys Kinser Sherlin, and Marilyn Kinser Kinne; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 8, 2018 from 7:00pm until 8:00pm at Companion Funeral Home, located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 10:00am at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Pastor Kelly Owens officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 25 in Cleveland, TN.
