Ira Michael Howard

Ira Michael Howard, 57, of Cleveland, TN passed away on November 8, 2019. He was born on August 15, 1962 in Chattanooga, TN. Mike was a lifelong resident of this area. He enjoyed fishing, working on old cars, and eating and having get togethers with his family and friends. He was affectionately known as “The Candy Man” by many who knew him. Mike was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father Ira A. Howard.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 33 years, Angela Howard; mother Fredia Caldwell (Raymond); children: Mark Kinsey (Ashley), Alisha Kilgore (Breeland), Shane Kinsey (Kristi), Cassie Bailey, and Gail Kinsey (Jennifer Davis); siblings: Carl Dewayne Howard, Christie Davenport (Ernest), Chris Howard, and Julie Howard. In addition to these he leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday November 13, 2019 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am at the funeral home on Thursday November 14, 2019 with Rev. Guinn Green officiating. The family will also receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
