Helen Joyce Dantzler

Helen Joyce Dantzler, 89, of Cleveland, TN passed away on October 4, 2021. She was born on September 15, 1932 to the late Jess and Muncie Morrow. Joyce was a lifelong resident of this area and an active member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. She was a tremendous woman of God who loved her church and was known as a Prayer Warrior for many. She has left a legacy through her three daughters and their families of the importance of how to be strong loving women, full of faith in Christ. Joyce was also a tremendous cook and her famous chocolate chip cookies were enjoyed by many. She loved nothing more than gathering with her family and those close to her over a meal. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Buford Dantzler and eleven siblings.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters: Donna Urban (Rodney), Amy French (George), and Linda Atkins; three siblings: Betty Morrow, John Morrow (Mary), and Jean McDonald; grandchildren: Angie Underwood (Jeff), Traci Elder (Adam), Justin Urban (Michaela), and Jacob Atkins. She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

Joyce’s family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday October 7, 2021 at North Cleveland Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be held at 11am on Friday October 8th with a visitation prior from 10am to 11am. Dr. Jay McCluskey will be officiating the service. Joyce will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a graveside service for family.
