Heather Christine Gillespie

August 16, 1955 — May 7, 2019

Heather Christine Gillespie, 63 of Soddy Daisy, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 peacefully at her home. She attended Christway Church in Ooltewah. Heather lived a life of service to her community. She was involved with local charities such as the Chattanooga Food Bank and Community Kitchen. She was a co-founder of Southern Style Great Dane Rescue, a non profit organization founded to help provide foster care and homes to Great Danes in need. Heather enjoyed her career as a local real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty and had a passion for building new relationships while serving her clients at the highest level. Heather was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Alexander Gillespie, Jr. and mother, Sara Louise Gadd Gillespie. Heather is survived by her brother, Thomas A. Gillespie, III, of Chattanooga; Nephew, Joseph Patrick Gillespie of Chattanooga.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to ask that a donation to Southern Style Great Dane Rescue would be made in Heather’s name as Great Dane Rescue was very near and dear to Heather’s heart. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM at Christway Baptist Church located at 6201 Mountain View Rd. Ooltewah, TN 37363.
